Project Muse Launches New Web Interface

Project Muse has a new look that includes enhanced site navigation. Users may browse and/or search for full-text journal articles, and it is available just in time for the new fall semester!

Update to ERIC Database

A redesigned web interface and 130 newly-indexed journals are in the expanded ERIC database. ERIC is for those researching “education-focused literature” and is available freely online.

More VIVA news: the complete collection of Safari Technical Books Online, more than 5500 titles, is now available. A few well-known publishers include O’Reilly, Sams, Macromedia, Adobe Press, IBM Press, Microsoft Press, and Que.

VIVA Update

The big VIVA news this summer is a new full-text, multidisciplinary database provider called EBSCO. Infotrac and Gale resources are going away on June 30th. The new EBSCO databases are already available and will soon be listed individually on the Databases A to Z list.

General Collection Books Unavailable

On Monday, May 19th, we will begin the process of bringing The Mariners’ Museum Library to the Trible Library. Most of our books will need to be stored offsite temporarily in order to install compact shelving. We expect the General Collection to be available for use after August 15th. There are more details available.
